Omaha Arrests: What The Data Really Says

Omaha police shared a new look at overall crime data with ketv on thursday. A few months ago, the city shared total crime data that shows crime is down in omaha. Publicly available crime incident data, curated by the omaha police department for public download on the dcgis open data portal. We measured inequities in policing across the omaha region by looking at differences in arrest rates and the diversity of police officers compared to the public they serve. Spotcrime's omaha, nebraska crime map shows 595 assaults, 5 shootings, 59 burglaries, 698 thefts, 11 robberies, 7 vandalism, and 1 arrests over a one month period.
